Looking for 2 more player for The Realm of Bethica (Fantasy-RPG). Assassin games has custom made an adventure (Rough Tides) for the next game session I will be running in the 2nd slot. Pre-gen will be available or you can design your own.

Rough Tides
Rumors of a lost treasure near an abandoned outpost has caused the characters to be hired by a nobleman funding an expedition.

Prelude

For decades the small outpost of Hasrath was a haven for smugglers and pirates. It was known by all that sailed the seas to be a safe haven for those that scoffed at the law, or those that wished to avoid imprisonment and persecution for crimes they had committed.
The outpost had originally been settled as a means to avoid the hazards of the Abysmal Sea, allowing ships to sail around the Island of Usah and take refuge in a relatively calm bay. A small wooden fortress garnered a measure of protection, and almost overnight a collection of wooden buildings sprang up to offer trade and comfort for sailors.

The fortress was overtaken one night by a band of fierce outlaws, who then declared the outpost free of outside rule. Despite several attempts to dislodge the outlaws, none were successful. Where there had once been a small outpost quickly saw a population explosion, as criminals and miscreants from the realms began to flock to the area. Despite being a haven of lawless individuals, the outpost was relatively peaceful, despite regular brawls and bodies of tyrant captains being found floating in the harbor.

Where mortals could not overcome the criminal element, nature found a way. A series of small earthquakes caused considerable panic in the locals and many of the captains anchored themselves and crew out in the harbor, hoping to wait or outrun what was to come. Few of them noticed the water level steadily dropping, and even fewer were able to avoid the entire harbor being turned into a bog. Once terrors of the high seas, ships were now mired in the swampy morass which replaced the harbor.

The outpost was abandoned. Ships and buildings were left to rot or be overcome by the slow march of nature. Most had fled from the area by the time even more unsavory individuals arrived. Rumors of a foul necromancer arriving in the area and bringing dead sailors to life were on the lips of those on the last few boats to depart from the outpost.
