I know that Circle of Swords does a Food Drive at their conventions. Would it be feasible to try to do something like this at Games Days, or perhaps at the Con? I think they normally take canned goods.
It is just a thought. I'm not really aware of where you could even take canned goods, but I'm pretty sure there is probably some church that passes out food, or some other organization that accepts canned goods.
Any thoughts?

My Church, St. Peter's Anglican, accepts canned goods as they work with the local food pantry in Butler.

The local gaming store I frequent(ed) in Springfield, MO did annual food drives. They worked to incorporate the drive with the games.
I ran a D&D game and allowed players to trade cans for re-rolls.
