From everything I've seen, the answer is yes, they are the same scale. It appears that the only difference is that the minis provided in Recon are resin as opposed to metal.

The other difference between Recon and buying a faction box is that you only receive 5 characters as opposed to 6 you get in the box set. Not a huge difference though.

Actually, from the looks of it, you're not buying 1 faction, you're really getting 2 factions in the main 2 games they are featuring in the kickstarters. The additional story packs look to be single faction.

Yes, they are the same sculpts for the most part, in plastic instead of metal.  They are doing some variant poses too. 

The base game comes with just 5 of the units form the factions, but the stretch goals have unlocked most of the others.  The only SG left for that is the Snipers, but I think its pretty far off.

After I get this I will have 7 factions to play MERCS between what I have and what I will be getting.

That helps.  These are two of the factions I was thinking of picking up anyway, so that's $90 right there.  Add in the rulebook for $40 and that leaves $70 for all the stretch goals and other goodies.

You can get all the faction boxes for $100.  Currently they are $25 each and there are 5 of them.

Does not include all the other add ons.

Question on the Conflicts dice game.  It says you need to add the dice expansion add-on to play 3-4 players, but I'm wondering if we had 2 games if that would be enough? I would think so, but I'm not sure if the dice add-on has special stuff not included in the base Conflicts dice.

Not sure about Conflict.  I'm thinking of selling that off to subsidize the other purchases.

If the next stretch goal is reached, I think then it's 6 mission packs for $100 (since the ISS mission pack gets unlocked), which is a better deal.  Would you want to split it if the ISS ends up being included?

$726,000 with just over 2 hours to go.  If they hit $750,000 it makes the $100 for everything pledge really nice, 7 expansions in total.
