Decide the Fate of the NetIn Android: Netrunner, you and your opponent constantly vie for better information, the strongest economy, and the control of valuable data. Corps attempt to secure their business plans within massive servers, layered with lethal traps and formidable ice, while Runners seek to navigate these virtual labyrinths. Each cat-and-mouse game is full of bluffs and counter-bluffs, with vast, virtual fortunes and the well-being of millions of people at stake!
Soon, you’ll be able to take your game to the next level by participating in Android: Netrunner Store Championships. These prestigious, local tournaments kick off our 2014 tournament season. They’re also your chance to win custom prizes and advance deeper into our Regional Championship tournaments later in the year.
What Is a Store Championship?Store Championships are a new premier tier of Netrunner Organized Play below the Regional Championship tournaments and bigger than the standard tournaments supported by the 2014 tournament kits.
The Netrunner Championship kits for 2014 feature the following exclusive prizes:
Champion: Store Championship plaque, custom deck box, and a first place certificate worth a first-round bye at one Regional Championship
Runner-Up: Custom deck box
Top 4: Four exclusive Android: Netrunner “Top 4” playmats
Participation: Thirty-two full-bleed alternate art versions of Kati Jones
Event registration will start at 11am, tournament kicks-off promptly at noon.
Cost:: $5 (includes drinks and 1 door prize raffle ticket, additional tickets extra)
Format:: 65 minute match-play games, Swiss-style tournament
Scoring::
- Win = 2 Prestige points (per game)
- Modified Win = 1 Prestige point (per game)
- Draw = 1 Prestige point (per game)
- Loss = 0 Prestige points (per game)
Max Players:: 32 (# of rounds based on # of players)
8 or less 3 Rounds
9-16 4 Rounds
17-32 5 Rounds
What to BringEach player will need to bring the following items in order to play in the tournament
- Each player must bring both 1 Corporation and 1 Runner deck to a tournament. Players will play both decks against each opponent.
- 2x legible copies of each of their deck lists, one for the TO and one for their opponent to review after the game.
- All tokens needed to play
