Real Name: Andrew Welsbacher (don't bother to remember that name, you'll see why)
Nicknames: Redbeard -- in all situations. Everyone always calls me that. Online I'm usually Redbeardin84 (like on BGG, yahoo IM, and here) or Nightbreeze
Age: I'll be 30 soon enough to just begin getting used to the idea right now.
Location: Eighty Four, PA (just on the Washington side of McMurray. Perhaps you've seen our lumberyards and highway exits around.) Takes 15-20 minutes to South Hills Village
How did you hear about GASP?: Well, Dan C. told me about it back when I played A Game of Thrones CCG (poorly) in shops all over the place. but I didn't pay attention to him very well. Then the Geek had a bunch of topics and Geeklists on the matter in the last few months and it jogged my memory enough to sign up for the newsletter. Then Curt has dropped me a couple of Emails lately as well. I've been watching what's going on website-wise for about a month or two. I was putting off my introduction until I managed to show up in person for a game day, but I found some time tonight and figured there's not much better for me to do anyways.
Favorite Game: These days it's the FFG version of Fury of Dracula
Other Games: Just learned Settlers of Catan and Bohnanza, an I've been logging a lot of Arkham Horror. Just began learning Chess during this last year. I may have a degree in something else, but my real major in undergrad was Bid 500, Pinochle, Hearts, and Spades
I think I've rated everything I can ever remember playing over my lifetime on "the Geek". Here's the link to my profile over there if you need something to read that might put you to sleep. . .
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/user/Redbeardin84 It also tells a little more about my general interests and gaming experience than I am willing to type at the moment.
I'm looking to check out a game day soon. Almost made May , but life got in the way. I wish I could bring the games I've been playing lately, but I don't own a lot of them. I'm no expert at all; I only began picking up boardgames in the last five months. I have a mental list of games that I hope to try out, and I'm always curious enough to learn a new game. You will sure know it's me when I find time to show up. I sometimes walk with the help of a black cane. I might have red hair and a beard as well.
Know some folks up in Erie that are curious about what I find. I can't afford the big, out of state conventions this year, so maybe gamedays and trips north will satisfy my game traveling itch.
Dan C. can decide if I'm a jerk. He seemed like a good guy by me, and I trust his judgement.
So I guess that's a howdy from me. Hope to drop by soon.
