That's funny.  I may print it out and start playing with it.

Now here's something useful from the forums.  Saves worrying about all the little tokens.  I'm gonna print a few of these (one for each model I have) and laminate them.

There is a slight chance my minis will be here Friday night.  If so, want me to assemble and bring them on Sat?  I know a couple folks wanted a look at the game that didn't get one.

Paul (Tioch) and I got a game in tonight at Legions.  We're still learning the rules and what mini combos work (and don't work), as I'm finding out the game has some great synergy combos available.

Most games I've played to date have been open terrain, again to get a handle on how combat and magic work.  I really think having some anime-style terrain would really add a new level (visually and tactically) to the game.  How about fighting in a blossoming orchard field?

Looking forward to playing some more games.  I'll bring my stuff with me to December's Games Day.

Thanks,

Tried this out tonight with Da King. Definitely a lot of subtle tactics that I have to pick up on still (charging, timing, etc), but I have to say I like it. Now I just need to get my hands on a Derek and some other characters. A massive 500 pt battle might be something interesting to see. I'm definitely picking up that beast Konosuke. Be looking forward to more games.

Fantasy Flight Games just launched their new website and online store.  Included in the store are the Starter Boxes for Anima Tactics at $10 each ($20 normally).  Also, Konosuke is listed for $10 ($30 retail).

Not sure if this is an error or not, but I placed and order for Konosuke, and the final price came to $16 including shipping.

If you're interested in getting into the game, you can save a couple of dollars now.

Thanks,

To gear up for the Anima Tactics tournament at GENCON, I'd like to get a few games in over the next 2 weeks.

If anyone is available, I'll be at Legions Thursday evening.  Let me know if you can make it.

300 pt list, with an extra 30 pts that can only be used for advantage cards.

Thanks,

Change in plans.  I'll be at Legions tonight, not Thursday.

Great game last night, though I'd love it if some more people would buy into this game. It's great. I mean, I whoop Don all the time at it! (note, if you didn't connect Don, miniatures, and someone else winning with lying, consider yourself sacked...)

Regardless, it's a really good game.

Yeah, good game.  It was good to use some of the "new" rules as well.

Here's my revised 300 pt Church list
Romeo (Raphael's Gift)
Azriel
Xavier
Evangeline (Presence)
Astraega (Team Saint Council)
Akio (Ring of Erebus)

Here's the 300 pt Samael list I'd like to try next week.
Dinah (Presence)
Konosuke
Shinigami (Control Bound)
Dark Chesire
Janiel (Control Bound)
Akio (Ring of Erebus)

I deceided to drop Team Damien and Justina in favor of Team Saint Council (Evangeline and Astraega).  The extra support and healing will be most helpful.  That only leaves me with 3 warriors, but they are kick-arse ones, plus I'll still have Romeo's miracle summons if needed.

The Samael list is still one I'm most interested in fielding at GENCON, so I want to get a chance to play it some time in the next couple weeks.

Thanks,

The rulebook is very close to release, speculated to be sometime next month.  It is currently on the FFG products page, but no release date.  Price is $50 for 200+ full color pages.

I was able to see a preview copy at GENCON, and it was well done.  Great art and fluff, and the rules were well organized.

Enjoy,

Just got a message from Bill at Legions that the expected arrival date for the rulebook is.....

2/15/2010

A bit later than I had hoped, but at least it is a date.

Not sure how official this is, but it is the date he received from his distributor.

Thanks,

I'm interested in seeing the new rulebook.  How much is changed from the current ruleset?
