Interview at Wizards of the Coast..
« on: May 24, 2016, 11:03:29 AM »
My father-in-law has a second-round interview with Wizards of the Coast in their Magic department TONIGHT. His role would be expanding MtG's eSport presence (i.e. online streaming). I have only played the game a couple of times so I cannot offer him much help outside of the research we've both been doing.

So, avid and casual players/spectators alike, I call on you to help/live this dream vicariously through him.. What is your experience with MtG as an eSport?

- What is your source for watching games?
- What do like/not like about current offerings?
- What trends do you see in the way videos/tournament updates are provided and what is your ideal for these modes of communication?
- Would you be willing to pay to watch larger events (Worlds)?

Ultimately, I want to give the guy some first-hand info and opinions so he has the tools to nail this interview. Some good-faith background on this awesome guy:
- Sports journalism fanatic
- Former Producer at ESPN (produced a Superbowl, won an Emmy)
- Former GM of Sports Media at a Comcast equivalent
- Grand daddy to my unborn daughter lol

All input is helpful. Thanks in advance. Wish him luck.

Are you only looking for positive opinions?

Unfortunately, no - I still have to wait to get D&D goodies from the back of a truck..
